The Research Affiliates Program
Launched in 1993, the Research Affiliates Program is designed to provide investigators in the pharmaceutical, biomedical and biotech industries with facilitated access to comprehensive scientific information and research expertise uniquely available from The Jackson Laboratory. Over the years, our program has fostered exciting collaborations and interactions between scientists at The Jackson Laboratory and investigators from our Affiliate companies. Most of these collaborations facilitate decisions about the choice of mouse models for a specific disease or drug efficacy testing initiative. The goal is to enhance the validation of potential targets and/or better test the efficacy of the compounds, thereby shortening the time between finding a target and providing a safe, small molecule for the affected human population.

Discovery Strategies Conference series:
Discovery Strategies Conference is a yearly conference focused on the laboratory mouse as a tool for pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry research. Conference size is limited to encourage the exchanges of ideas and networking between participants. All members of the Research Affiliates Program receive advance notification of the conference before it is opened to non-Affiliate scientists. In addition, Gold members may be able to register for free. All invited speakers are renowned investigators in the biomedical field, including Nobel Laureates.
